Konnie Huq to headline Midlands Climate Expo in fireside conversation

Broadcaster, author and former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq will join this year’s Midlands Climate Expo & Sustainability Conference for a special fireside conversation.

Since becoming a household name on television, Huq has built a wide-ranging career across broadcasting, publishing and public engagement. She has also become a leading advocate for climate education, helping to bring sustainability into the mainstream through creativity and storytelling and storytelling.

Her conversation at the Expo will consider how education, culture and effective communication can help people respond to environmental change and build more resilient organisations and communities.

Huq also features in The People’s Emergency Briefing, which brings together voices from across science, culture and public life to explain the challenges facing the UK and the practical choices available.

Delegates will have two opportunities to attend a screening as part of the wider programme at the fifth Midlands Climate Expo. The event will bring together businesses, public bodies, academics, voluntary organisations and sustainability professionals to exchange practical ideas, form new connections and explore how organisations can manage emerging risks.
