British Business at a Crossroads: Sustainability in a Divided Landscape
This session explores how British businesses can communicate credible sustainability in a landscape where public expectations are rising and political narratives are becoming more divided. In his second year speaking at the Midlands Climate Expo, Daniel draws on live delivery examples from government, businesses and education partners, including a case study from the British Wildlife Rescue Centre, to show how organisations can use evidence, lived experience and shared national values to build trust around their environmental efforts.
You will also have space to reflect on the sectors represented in the room, considering how different organisations can respond to the obstacles currently shaping their sustainability journey. Through guided discussion, you can begin exploring what credible action might look like in your own context and how to communicate it in a way that feels constructive and unifying rather than trivial and polarising for your customers.
