Daniel Cope is a seasoned environmental and sustainability expert driving impactful change across the UK and internationally. He has led large-scale initiatives supporting over 2,000 businesses, securing £16 million in public funding and enabling more than £60 million in economic benefits. Named one of the ESS 35 Under 35, Daniel is a Chartered Environmentalist and full member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP). He specialises in helping organisations uncover and articulate their environmental narratives—translating complex climate challenges into clear, commercially relevant stories that engage stakeholders and inspire action. As a compelling public speaker, Daniel blends strategic insight with real-world experience, motivating audiences to align environmental responsibility with business success. He serves as Ambassador for the Environment at the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation and advises a Staffordshire school trust on its Net Zero strategy, where he trained the UK’s youngest certified Carbon Literate students. In 2024, he was Guest of Honour at the Sir Thomas Boughey Academy Awards. Internationally, Daniel has lobbied for climate policy in Washington D.C. and presented on landfill impacts for the UN Environment Programme in Shanghai—experiences that shape his collaborative, inclusive approach to environmental leadership.
