Matthew Lawrence is the Environment Programme Manager for the Environment Agency in the West Midlands, leading work to improve and protect the Area's water environment. He and his team work closely with partnerships, local authorities, businesses, landowners, and community groups to deliver collaborative solutions that enhance river health, improve water quality, and build resilience to future environmental challenges. Matthew has a strong interest in partnership working and place-based approaches that help create sustainable, healthy river catchments for both people and nature.
