Garry Jones

CEO, Support Staffordshire

Support Staffordshire is a local charity that supports community groups, charities and social enterprises to be the best they can be; and advocates with decision makers for a stronger role for the voluntary sector in shaping our society. With over 1,200 member organisations, they are the largest sector support body in the region. Garry has been Chief Executive of Support Staffordshire since it’s founding in 2014, having coordinated the original merger. He was previously Chief Executive at York CVS, but before that spent the best part of a decade in the nature conservation sector, working in education and community roles. He believes the climate emergency can only be solved through grass roots change alongside a state that enables people to think globally whilst acting locally.
